The Mountain Gorilla is an impressive creature! The sheer size and strength of the males, the Silverbacks, creates internal shivers of awe. But they are the ones in need of protection being the most endangered species of gorilla. It is astounding to think that we did not even know they existed until 1902 but due to encroachment and poaching their numbers are dwindling at an alarming rate. This painting is precious to me and I wasn't certain I would put it up for sale....but here it is!
The photo resource was taken by me while studying and observing the gorillas at the fantastic San Diego Zoo.
